Jisung Eom facing spell on the sidelines
Swansea City winger Jisung Eom has been ruled out for six weeks after the South Korean suffered a knee injury on international duty.
Eom was withdrawn having come on as a substitute in the World Cup qualifier against Jordan after an opponent landed awkwardly on him following a tackle, and returned to Swansea for a full assessment of the problem.
And Williams confirmed the summer signing, who has made an encouraging start to life in SA1, is facing a spell on the sidelines.
"Eom has had a setback, and we'll begin the rehabilitation immediately,” said Williams.
“He's in the best place possible now for us to help him recover. we're very pleased to have got him back here so quickly, so we can begin that process.
“Hopefully he will be back on the pitch in six weeks and we can help him make a full recovery without any long-lasting problems.
“This first quarter of the season I think he's improved steadily and I think he's somebody that excites us on a matchday, and he's learned how to do the work that's not necessarily natural to him.
“He's been excellent. I think we're going to miss the excitement and the way he can change direction so quickly. But he'll be back with us before we know it.”
