Jay Fulton on “disappointing day” at Burnley
Midfielder Jay Fulton believes sloppiness cost Swansea City at Burnley on Saturday.
The Swans found themselves 3-0 down at half time with goals from Jay Rodriguez, Vitinho and Anass Zoroury putting them firmly in ascendancy at the break, before a second for Rodriguez compounded things early in the second half.
After a good run of results, which had seen them pick up more points than any other team over six games, it was a tough afternoon for the Swans in Lancashire.
“It’s disappointing,” said Fulton.
“We went into the game full of confidence, but I don’t think we really showed it on the pitch.
“There were a couple of sloppy goals and I thought we could have done better with the opportunities we had so overall it was a disappointing day.
“We’ve been on a good run, four wins on the bounce, but in the Championship, you don’t really have time to be disappointed.
“The positive is that we can put it right on Tuesday and hopefully we’ll get back to winning ways.
“We’ll sit down and look at the things we’ve done wrong today, but we’ve got a game on Tuesday and our full focus is on that.”
