Jarred Harvey | It was a total team performance
Coach Jarred Harvey praised a fine all-round team performance from Swansea City Under-18s after they saw off their play-off chasing Barnsley counterparts 2-0 at Landore.
A first-half Sammy Henia-Kamau brace was enough to see the Swans pick up their first win in four matches.
The forward scored early on from close range to take the lead following some good saves from Rogan Ravenhill.
And he went on to double Swansea's lead from the penalty spot after Brogan Popham had been fouled in the area.
And Harvey was happy with the manner in which his young side had returned to winning ways.
"I thought the boys were exceptional. We had two debuts for Tom [Wright] and Kaven [Bloniarzyck], both who are 15-years-old, and they were brilliant," he said.
"Tom hasn't played for two months, so to get a clean sheet and play up a level was pleasing to see.
"There were so many outstanding individual performances but, overall, it was the togetherness that got the game over the line.
"We had a lot of momentum in the first half, and we could have had more goals as we created a handful of chances.
"I thought the speed and intensity of the way we went forward was good, and defensively, everyone fought hard.
"We played against a strong team, a play-off chasing team, and given how young we were I'm over the moon for the boys to have gotten that result."
