Jarred Harvey praised a fine all-round team performance from Swansea City Under-18s after they saw off their Coventry City counterparts 4-1 at Landore.

The young Swans picked up their second win of the season, having won their opening game of the campaign against Barnsley.

Coventry had gone ahead in the 37th minute when Conrad Ambersley converted a penalty, but Aidan Higgins made it all square with seconds to go before the break.

The young Swans went on to seal the win with three goals in 10 second-half minutes from Thomas Woodward and a trialist (2).

And Harvey was proud of the collective effort from his players.

"It’s difficult to single out anyone as it was a real team performance," he said.

"The intensity of our play was the difference, both with and without the ball and that’s testament to our performance coach Jamie Field.

"I thought we played some excellent stuff for large parts of the game, it was a much more fluid performance, and that’s pleasing, but as always we’ll strive for better and keep working hard as it’s early days yet.

"We’re headed in the right direction. It’s also great to see a number of our players getting recognised for their hard work and performances so far this season by getting called up to represent their country.

"I think everyone can take a huge amount of credit for the work they’re putting in, ensuring our players are developing on a daily basis and giving them the best opportunity to improve and progress."
