Jarred Harvey is hopeful Swansea City Under-18s can make the most of a "fantastic opportunity" to show what they can do on the big stage when they host Fulham in the FA Youth Cup at Landore this evening (7pm).

The Swans reached the fourth round for the first time since the 2020-21 campaign after knocking out Ipswich Town with a 2-1 victory at Portman Road in December.

The Cottagers - who play in the Under-18s' Premier League - completed a late comeback against Cardiff City to progress to this stage.

Under competition regulations, clubs are required to charge supporters to attend FA Youth Cup fixtures.

Supporters should be aware there will be no pay on the day facility for this fixture.

The Swans know victory over the Londoners will set up a fifth-round tie away at Arsenal or Liverpool, and Harvey hopes his players will rise to the occasion in the prestigious competition.

"It's the biggest game in the calendar so far for us so far. The FA Youth Cup, for any team it's a big occasion and that's no different for us," said Harvey.

"We have prepared to the best of our ability in relation to minutes, making sure everyone is at a good level and we'll assess the game against Queens Park Rangers in depth before we face Fulham.

"It's a fantastic opportunity for the boys as well, knockout football has a real competitive edge to it and you have the chance to face some top opposition.

"We'll execute our gameplan, and manage the emotions and the occasion as it's a big game. Those are key parts in player development.

"We know Fulham will play their way and pose a tough threat, but the challenge is something the boys will be up for and ultimately, we know our opponents if we were to go through. That gives us even more motivation to aim for a strong run.

"Ollie [Jefferies] and the coaches have done fantastic work with the boys before I came in, it's brilliant to have come in and already be working with an amazing group of players and staff.

"The boys are looking forward to it and as a staff we're looking forward to it."
