Jamal Lowe delighted to open Swansea City account
Jamal Lowe could not hide his delight at getting off the mark for Swansea City, and hopes there are many more goals to come.
The forward, a summer signing from Wigan, opened his Swans account by netting the second goal of the 2-0 win at Wycombe on Saturday.
The 26-year-old was on hand to turn in from close range, following slick build-up play involving Korey Smith, Morgan Gibbs-White and Andre Ayew.
The first goal for any new signing is an important one, and Lowe wants to kick on after a fine start to his Swansea career where he has shown his mix of skill and work-rate.
“I’m always happy to score and help the team as much as I can,” he said.
“It’s also another clean sheet, another positive result and another game unbeaten so it’s very positive.
“You always want to score and it is nice when you can get a goal nice and early in the season to try and get a run going and kick on from there.
“The gaffer has brought me in to get goals and assists so it was nice to be able to do that.
“I want to help the team with goals and assists and obviously with all of the other work that has to be done on the pitch, but primarily I need to get the goals in and thankfully I got one in this game."
