Jamal Lowe completes transfer to AFC Bournemouth
Swansea City forward Jamal Lowe has joined Bournemouth for an undisclosed fee, subject to international clearance.
The 27-year-old joined the Swans from Wigan a year ago, and scored 14 goals in his sole full season at the club - including a brace in a South Wales derby win at Cardiff - to help them reach the play-off final.
Lowe made 58 appearances for the club in all competitions, including six at the start of the current season. He has signed a three-year contract at the Vitality Stadium.
Lowe – an England C and Jamaica international – started his career with Barnet and turned professional in 2012.
He had several loan spells with London-based non-league clubs until a productive spell at Hampton and Richmond Borough brought him to the attention of Portsmouth.
He made the move to join former Swansea boss Kenny Jackett at Fratton Park in October 2016.
At the end of that season Lowe would score in the 6-1 win over Cheltenham that secured the League Two title for Portsmouth, and went on to score at Wembley and in the penalty shoot-out as Pompey edged out Sunderland in the Football League Trophy in 2019.
He then made the move up to the Championship with Wigan in the summer of 2019, and scored six goals in 48 appearances in all competitions.
Everyone at Swansea City wishes Jamal well in his future career.
