Jaden Forrester | We're all buzzing to go again
Swansea City Under-23s forward Jaden Forrester praised his team-mates' hard work following their victory at QPR Under-23s.
Forrester put the Swans ahead 10 minutes in, converting a penalty after he was brought down by the Hoops keeper in the box.
Sam Leverett added a second soon after, which was enough for the under-23s to end a run of four games without a win in the Professional Development League.
Forrester was happy not only with his goal but the team's ability to secure three points in difficult conditions, while he hopes they use this performance and result to be the catalyst for an upturn in form.
“I’m buzzing not only for myself but the team as well. It’s good to be winning again - it’s been a while since we won a game and it’s been difficult, but I’m glad we could get over the line,” said Forrester.
“It’s so important for team morale, everyone has been lifted by this and I think we are all buzzing to go again.
“We hope that we can turn this into a run of results, hopefully we can take it in our stride and just keep this feeling going.
“The pitch wasn’t great, and the conditions certainly didn’t help us but I think we played our game well, we played well when we could.
“It’s quite hard to play our style in those conditions, but the players at the back and the midfield dealt with it really well.
“It’s been a while since I have scored a goal too so it felt good to step up and put it away and hopefully it’s the first of many.”
