Jacob Cook’s stunning goal from inside his own half against Peterborough United Under-16s has won Swansea City’s Westacres Goal of the Month vote for February.
The midfielder’s audacious effort from kick-off saw him float the ball 55 yards over the heads of the 11 Posh players and into the back of the net.
The Jack Army voted for the academy startlet in big numbers with Cook earning more than 70% of the final vote.
Joel Piroe’s smart finish against Birmingham City narrowly beat Matty Sorinola’s volley to second place with the team goal finished by Liam Cullen finishing fourth.
Everyone who voted was entered into a random draw to win a signed shirt by Jacob. The winner has been contacted by email.
