Jack signs new deal
Jack Evans is the latest Swansea City youngster to extend his stay at the Liberty Stadium by signing a new contract.
Evans, whose previous deal expired this summer, has put pen to paper on a one-year agreement which will keep the 20-year-old in SA1 until June 2019.
Midfielder Evans has been part of Swansea’s academy system since he was just eight years old. He featured 31 times for the under-23s last season, helping them to an impressive fourth-place finish in Premier League 2.
Evans played for Wales Under-21s this summer as they faced Georgia.
“It is great to get another year at a club I love,” said local lad Evans.
“I have been here a long time and am very proud to still be playing for the club I have grown up with. Hopefully I can push on this season and keep improving.
“I want to continue the progress I made with the development squad last year.
“This season could offer more opportunities for younger players. I just have to get my head down, work hard and see if I am given the chance to deliver at a higher level.”
