A number of Swansea City players were in action for their countries during the current international break.

Loan duo Charlie Patino and Bashir Humphreys featured for England Under-21s in their Euro 2025 qualifiers against Serbia and Northern Ireland.

Chelsea loanee Humphreys was named in the starting line-up in the young Lions 3-0 win over Serbia, whilst Patino came on as a substitute in the closing stages of their clash against Northern Ireland. The age-grade side currently sit second in Group F, three points behind leaders Ukraine.

Ben Cabango and Liam Cullen were both named in the senior Wales squad, but did not features in the European Championship qualifying draws against Armenia and Turkey.

Rob Pages's side will now prepare for March's play-offs, after those results saw them finish third in their group.

 

Wales Under-21s

Joel Cotterill Wales

At under-21 level, Wales finished the November window second in European Championship qualifying Group I, level on points with top seeds Denmark.

Josh Thomas was named in the starting XI for their 1-0 win against Iceland. However, his evening came to an abrupt end when he was shown a red card on the hour mark for a tackle on goalkeeper Adam Ingi Benediktsson. Cameron Congreve and Joel Cotterill, meanwhile, were unused substitutes.

Cotterill then started against Denmark in Wales' narrow 2-1 defeat at Rodney Parade but, despite the loss, Matty Jones' side remain firmly in contention for a place at the 2025 finals.

 

Wales Under-17s

Iestyn Jones Wales

Craig Knight's Wales Under-17s secured qualification for the Uefa European Championship Elite Round for the fourth year running, after wins against Belgium and Gibraltar meant they topped their group.

Swansea City Under-18s' defender Iestyn Jones started both games, and bagged his first goal for his country in their 4-0 victory over Gibraltar. 

Osian Williams and Harlan Perry featured as substitutes, with Ben Phillips getting his first call up the the squad following an impressive period with the under-18s for the Swans.
