International round-up | Ben Lloyd and Michael Obafemi on the scoresheet
Seven Swansea City players were in action for their respective nations on Tuesday as the September international window draws to a close.
Fin Stevens and Josh Thomas featured for Wales Under-21s as they suffered defeat to Austria in Vienna.
Stevens played 82 minutes as he started coach Matty Jones’ first game in charge of the age-grade side, while Thomas was introduced as a half-time substitute in the 2-0 friendly loss.
At under-19 level Ben Lloyd, Cameron Congreve and Joel Cotterill all started Wales’ 9-2 win over Gibraltar in their final European Championship qualification round fixture. Lloyd was among the goalscorers for the young Dragons.
At senior level, Michael Obafemi was on the scoresheet for the Republic of Ireland in their 3-2 Nations League win over Armenia.
Olivier Ntcham came off the bench for Cameroon in their 1-0 friendly defeat to South Korea.
