International call-ups for Swansea City youngsters
Swansea City's Ben Hughes, Cameron Congreve, Joel Cotterill and Josh Thomas have been included in the Wales Under-21s squad for the September Uefa Euro 2025 qualifiers.
Matty Jones has selected a 23-man squad for his side’s home friendly against Liechtenstein on Friday, September 8 and their European qualifier against Lithuania four days later.
Cotterill - who is currently on loan at Stockport County - will be looking to make his competitive debuts for the age-grade side, alongside Hughes and Congreve.
Thomas - who has joined League One outfit Port Vale on a season-long loan - has earned his fifth call up for the age group.
The fixture against Liechtenstein will take place at Rodney Parade, with a 4.30pm kick-off in Newport, while the away qualifier against Lithuania gets under way at 4pm at Jonava Stadium.
Meanwhile, Azeem Abdulai has been called upon for Scot Gemmill's Scotland Under-21 squad ahead of their opening Euro qualifier against Spain on Monday, September 11 (7pm kick-off).
Abdulai, 20, earned his maiden call-up for Scotland Under-21s in March this year.
