International call-ups for academy youngsters
Over 15 Academy players have been chosen to represent Wales in their respective age-groups this international break.
Evan Watts, Joel Cotterill, Josh Thomas and Cameron Congreve have been called upon by Matty Jones for Wales' final game of the qualifying campaign at Rodney Parade on Friday, October 11 and a friendly at DAC Arena in Dunajská Streda four days later.
They currently sit joint top of their qualifying group, can secure automatic qualification for the Uefa Under-21 Euro finals if they better Denmark’s result in their final qualifier.
While a draw against Czechia in Newport would be enough for Wales to seal at least a play-off for the first time since 2008.
Cotterill played a crucial role in helping his country remain in the top spot in their qualifier against Iceland, bagging a brace to clinch a 2-1 win.
Thomas Woodward and Kit Margetson return to the under-19s squad following last month's fixtures against Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.
Woodward - on his first international start - netted a goal in their 3-0 win against Azerbaijan in Spain, whilst Margetson started the first fixture of the camp.
At under-17 level, Milo Robinson, Isaac Dudding, Kaven Bloniarczyk and Kai Rhodes have been included in Wayne Hatswell's squad for their upcoming friendlies against Portugal and France.
The first game of the window against Portugal gets under way at 6pm on Wednesday, October 9, before the second fixture against France takes place two days later on Friday October 11 at 3pm.
The friendlies will aid preparations for Wales' 2024/25 Uefa Under-17 Euro qualifying fixtures in November later this year.
Bobby Lewis, Theo Harrington, Nioll Siwela,and Rio Hassan have been called up to Wales Under-15s for their UEFA Development Tournament, between 15th-23rd October in Sofia, Bulgaria.
