Injured players nearing returns for Swansea City
Swansea City head coach Michael Duff says some of the injured players in his squad are nearing a return to fitness, but they will not be available for Saturday’s meeting with Hull City.
However, Bashir Humphreys, Charlie Patino and Ben Cabango are all available after returning from international duty, although Liam Cullen will be suspended.
Josh Key is the closest to making a return from injury having been absent since the defeat to Leicester, while the likes of Mykola Kuharevich, Azeem Abdulai and Joe Allen have been out doing individual work on the grass.
“All the international guys have come back okay and played a full part in training," said Swans boss Duff.
“We have had a lot of players out and a lot of players away.
“In terms of injuries, we are still depleted but people are getting fitter. Josh Key is close.
“Mykola is on the grass, as is Joe Allen and Azeem too. They are not integrated into training yet, but they are doing individual work.
“We are getting there but they are still not available to us.
“Josh should be available next week, people like Joe and Azeem and Mykila are more like three to four weeks away.
“Nathan Wood has seen a specialist and had good news, but is a way away from being fit, and Josh Ginnelly is making progress but is likely to miss rest of the season.”
