Swansea City AFC Foundation stalwart Helen Elton has retired from the organisation after 13 years supporting the charity.

Elton first joined Swansea City Foundation in 2012 as funding and partnerships officer, helping to secure vital funding that helped to grow the Foundation and establish initiatives within the organisation that still support our community to this day.

In 2017, Elton became head of community at the Foundation, leading the organisation's growth, including overseeing staffing and helping bring about a significant increase in output delivery.

She was key in guiding the Foundation through the Covid-19 pandemic, ensuring the organisation continued to support the local area during difficult times, delivering online workshops and working with local charities and initiatives to best support those in need.

In 2022, Elton stepped away from the head of community role after five years as she geared towards her retirement. She became head of grants and funding at the Foundation, having laid a platform for incoming head of foundation Paul France to build upon.

Everyone at Swansea City AFC Foundation would like to thank Helen for her incredible dedication to the organisation and local community over the past 13 years, and wish her a happy retirement.
