Harry Darling | We must not let the season fizzle out
Defender Harry Darling wants Swansea City to ensure their season does not fizzle out and carry their good form into Saturday’s meeting with Norwich City.
The Swans head to Carrow Road with nothing on the line in terms of play-off aspirations or Championship status, while the hosts have the opportunity to wrap up a top-six finish on home turf, where they have not been beaten since November.
However, the Swans have won their last three games without conceding a goal, and their tally of 20 points over the last 11 games – just shy of a quarter of the season – is the fourth-best in the division over that period.
And with Luke Williams and his coaching staff keen to keep building momentum ahead of next season, Darling is adamant the Swans must not let their focus slip.
“We don’t want to let the season fizzle out, it would be far too easy for us to allow that to happen,” he said.
“The gaffer is on to us constantly and, as a group, we want to finish the season strong because it’s important to have momentum to carry into next season.
“We will play the last two in the same manner as we have the last few games.
“We want to try and get two more wins to round things off.”
