Harry Darling | Sloppy moments are costing us games
Harry Darling says Swansea City must pick themselves up quickly and cut out the sloppy moments that have cost them points following the last-gasp defeat to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.
The Swans had looked the most likely to find a breakthrough in the first half with Joel Piroe and Jay Fulton having chances, while Darling himself had a header saved and Ben Cabango hit the crossbar.
But the home side were improved in the second period and ultimately snatched all three points when Daniel Ayala headed in a winner in the 90th minute.
“It’s a horrible end to the game. I didn’t think we deserved to lose,” said Darling.
“I thought we defended well on the whole, obviously apart from the goal.
“But these are the moments. It probably sums up our season really, we’re sloppy in these moments and it’s costing us games.
“We just have to stick together and the beauty of this league is that we can go again against Stoke on Tuesday and put it right.
“Tuesday’s game is the only thing we can focus on now. We’ll reflect on this game, analyse it and see what went wrong and what we did well.
"We'll make sure we’re ready to go again on Tuesday.”
