Habitat Homecare's March Carer of the Month

Sophie Lewis has been awarded Habitat Homecare’s Carer of the Month for March.

In association with the care and support service provider, Swansea City is proud to support the monthly award scheme which recognises those carers who have gone above and beyond to improve someone’s life.

Working in the care sector is renowned for being one of the most rewarding jobs you can do, and for many good reasons. Being a carer means you are able to make a real difference to people’s lives on a daily basis – from cooking their favourite meal to making sure they are safe and cared for in their own homes.

Providing care for someone on a regular basis allows you make a real difference to someone’s life, particularly when you are supporting someone who is living with a condition that requires a wider range of more complex care needs

The Carer of the Month initiative helps us to recognise those who have gone that extra mile, expertly delivering professional, person-centred and outcome-focused care.

Habitat Homecare’s Managing Director Steve Davies has announce their March ‘Carer of the Month' award goes to Sophie.

Sophie has been a loyal hard-working member of the team.  Juggling her other commitments with college, she always ensures it never gets in the way of her role as a home carer. Sophie has worked across a number of departments within the organisation from domiciliary care to companionship support helping all those who need care and all the clients who have received care from her have spoken very highly of her.
