Habitat Homecare confirm Carer of the Month for December

Swansea City partner Habitat Homecare has announced that its carer of the month for December is Paige Driscoll.

The carer of the month scheme was launched to provide a token of the charity’s appreciation and recognise those carers who have gone above and beyond to improve someone’s life.

Working in the care sector is renowned for being one of the most rewarding jobs you can do. You are able to make a real difference to people’s lives on a daily basis – from cooking their favourite meal to making sure they are safe and cared for in their own homes.

Providing care for someone on a regular basis allows you make a real difference to someone’s life, particularly when you are supporting someone who requires a wider range of more complex care needs.

The carer of the month initiative recognises those who’ve gone that extra mile, above and beyond what’s expected.

A spokesperson from Habitat Homecare said: “Paige has built up strong bonds with her clients on the regular calls she attends in Swansea.

“The praise we get from the families of the people Paige supports is exceptional, and that is topped off by feedback from a health professional who was so impressed they passed on their compliments to the Swansea Local Authority.

“We are extremely grateful to have such a hardworking, dedicated member of the team who clearly goes above and beyond to ensure she gives 100 per cent to her profession. Paige, you are a great ambassador for the care sector.
