Swansea City goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin has extended his contract with the club to the end of the 2024-25 season.

The 37-year-old’s short-term deal had been due to expire this month, but he has signed terms through to the end of June having impressed with his professionalism and diligence in his time with the Swans.

The Scotland international, who featured against the Swans for Bradford in the 2013 League Cup final before going on to help the Bantams secure promotion from League Two later that season, also had spells at Harrogate Railway Athletic, Harrogate Town, Burton Albion, Hearts, Sunderland and Rangers.

With the latter he won the league title and the Scottish Cup, as well as reaching the Europa League final.
