FULL-TIME: Swans U21s 3 Millwall 0
24th March
Swansea City's Under-21s claimed a second consecutive victory in Professional Development League 2 as they beat Millwall 3-0 at Fairwood to move fourth in the table.
In blustery and wet conditions, Chris Llewellyn's side played some decent football and were rewarded for their efforts when Ryan Hedges slotted home from close range with just 12 minutes on the clock.
Gwion Edwards and Josh Sheehan both went close to extending the lead before the break, while Millwall's best efforts came via Kyron Farrell and Jamie Philpott.
After the break, the young Swans continued to dominate and they doubled their lead in fortuitous circumstances as Edwards' cross-come-shot dropped into the net after 51 minutes.
And sub Kenji Gorre - on for Edwards - made an instant impact as he finished a fine solo effort by cutting inside and firing into the top corner 17 minutes later
It means Llewellyn's side remain in the hunt for a top-four finish, with this victory following up the 1-0 win at Brighton over a fortnight ago.
