FRIENDLY: Exeter 0 Swans 2
29th July
A first goal for Bafetimbi Gomis and another from Josh Sheehan handed the Swans a 2-0 victory at Exeter City in their latest pre-season friendly.
French striker Gomis headed home Neil Taylor's cross after 31 minutes before Sheehan slotted home from close range following a neat pass from sub Wilfried Bony in the latter stages.
Gomis also hit the post while David Wheeler struck the crossbar for the hosts before the half-time break.
It proved a useful exercise for manager Garry Monk, who handed game-time to 21 players against the League Two club.
The Swans next face Bournemouth on Friday at the Goldsands Stadium (7.30pm).
Garry Monk was without Chico Flores (bruised back), Angel Rangel (dead leg), Jordi Amat (hamstring) and Rory Donnelly (ankle), along with Marvin Emnes (knee cartilage) and Leon Britton (knee), while Liam Shephard and Scott Tancock were called up from the club's Under-21 set-up.
Jefferson Montero made his first start for the Swans following his move from Mexican club Morelia while Wilfried Bony came off the bench for his first appearance since returning from World Cup duty.

A fairly quiet opening 20 minutes saw neither side really threaten on goal.
A Craig Woodman cross met Tom Nichols, but he couldn't keep his header on target for the hosts while Jefferson Montero's pace down the left allowed him space to cross, but Danny Coles cleared the danger.
Montero was again the threat as he raced into the box before firing a low cross along the face of goal which failed to find a team-mate.
Then David Wheeler's run down Exeter's right allowed Arron Davies to pick out Nichols in the box, but Kyle Bartley did enough to volley the ball out for a corner.
The Swans were forced into a change on the half hour as Ki Sung-Yueng replaced Alex Bray, who had picked up a nose injury.
And a minute later the Swans were ahead.
Neil Taylor's pinpoint cross from the left picked out Bafetimbi Gomis, and he rose to direct his header past Christy Pym from ten yards for his first goal since arriving from Lyon.
Exeter went in instant search of an equaliser, and Jimmy Keohane latched onto a loose ball 20 yards out, but he scuffed his effort wide with Gerhard Tremmel untroubled.
Then the game saw the woodwork come to the rescue of each side.
Firstly, Davies' cross found Wheeler, and his spectacular flicked effort rebounded back off the crossbar before Tremmel gathered a weak header from Keohane after the ball had dropped in his path.
Then, seconds later, Montero's through ball sliced the Exeter defence to put Gomis in on goal, but the French striker's poked effort thundered off the post.
Half-time: Exeter City 0 Swans 1
Garry Monk made three changes at the break as Jonjo Shelvey, Wayne Routledge and Wilfried Bony came on in place of Lee Lucas, Adam King and Montero.
And Bony created the first big chance of the half as his high cross from the right bounced towards Gomis, and when keeper Pym won the race he could only punch to Routledge, but the winger's 25-yard chip dropped over the crossbar.
The Swans created another chance as Ki and Shelvey linked up before the latter's fine through ball sent Routledge racing down the left, and when his cross found Josh Sheehan, the youngster blasted his volley wide.
Bartley then headed wide from a Shelvey corner before a flurry of changes as David Cornell, Stephen Kingsley, Jazz Richards and Nathan Dyer came on for Tremmel, Taylor, Bartley and Gomis.
And it was a combination of substitutes Ki and Bony that helped carve open the second goal after 78 minutes as the latter's fine through ball found the onrushing Sheehan, who calmly slotted home from eight yards.
The Swans went close to adding to their lead in the final minute as Bony rose highest to meet Shelvey's corner, but sub Aaron Dawson stopped his effort on the line.
That was the end of the action, though, with the Swans taking plenty of positives from a good exercise at St James Park.
