Foundation Kicks participants represent Swansea City in fixture within a fixture against Sheffield United
Swansea City AFC Foundation’s Premier League Kicks participants travelled to Sheffield to play against Kicks participants from Sheffield United Community Foundation on Saturday before heading to Bramall Lane to watch the Championship match between the Swans and the Blades.
The ‘fixture within a fixture’ project gives Kicks participants from various football charity arms the opportunity to represent their clubs in a one-off friendly competition before watching their teams play from the stands.
Participants from across the Foundation’s various Premier League Kicks sessions Swansea travelled to Sheffield’s Springs Academy for a number of matches, before joining the Jack Army in the away end for the match.
Tia, a Premier League Kicks participant, said: “I really enjoyed the opportunity, it’s great to be able to wear the shirt and represent Swansea City.
“I also really enjoyed it because I got to meet new people from different Premier League Kicks sessions and it was great to watch the Swans for the first time.”
