Florian Bianchini eyes more goals after opening Swansea City account
Florian Bianchini hopes there are many more goals to come from him in Swansea City colours, after the Frenchman opened his account for the club in the 2-1 win at Oxford United.
The 23-year-old forward got the important second goal at the Kassam Stadium, running on to a through-ball eight minutes from time and coolly dispatching a low right-footed shot beyond the keeper and into the bottom corner of the net.
That added to Zan Vipotnik’s first-half strike and, even though Dane Scarlett pulled a late goal back for the hosts, the Swans took all three points to return to winning ways.
Bianchini joined the Swans from Bastia towards the end of the summer transfer window, and has been building up his fitness and game time.
And he hopes he and the team can kick on.
“I think this can be an important result for the team, we have found it difficult to score goals in the last games, but here we have two and we have three points. We hope we can continue in this way,” he said.
“Of course it is good for me to score, I hope that I can score many more goals for Swansea and help the team.
“In every game we have been creating chances, but we have not taken them. Hopefully this game can help us to change that.”
