Five Swansea City players to represent Wales Under-21s in Denmark
Five Swansea City players have been chosen to represent Wales Under-21s next month.
Evan Watts, Ben Lloyd, Joel Cotterill, Cameron Congreve and Josh Thomas have been called up to Matty Jones' squad for their upcoming Uefa Euro 2025 qualifier against Denmark on June 20 at Vejle Station. (7pm kick-off).
The young Dragons recently prepared for their campaign opener with a nine-day training camp in Pinatar, Spain in March. Swans striker Thomas bagged three goals in two games against Colombia and Scotland respectively in a pair of friendly fixtures.
Wales will be on their travels again in the September and October international windows for matches against Lithuania on Tuesday, September 12 and the Czech Republic on Friday, October 13.
They will then conclude the year with a home double-header against Iceland and Denmark on Thursday, November 16 and Monday, November 20 respectively.
The young Dragons will welcome Lithuania to Wales on Friday, March 22 2024, then travel to Iceland on Tuesday, September 10 2024 before rounding off their group with a home clash against the Czech Republic on Friday October 11 2024.
