Swansea City has made the difficult decision to postpone next week’s fans’ forum.

After consultation, the Club has decided to postpone the upcoming fans’ forum, which had been scheduled for Monday, March 3.

The Club remains committed to holding this event. Chairman Andy Coleman has met with several groups of fans over the past few weeks, and open communication with supporters and fan engagement remains a key element of the strategic direction of the Club.

The overwhelming interest from supporters has quite understandably been focused on football performance. Given the recent changes within this department and the required preparations for our game against Preston, it is felt that it is not the right time to hold this event.

The second half of the season has seen a lot of change at the Club. All of these changes have been implemented with a view to putting a strong foundation in place for the Club to have the best possible chance of success in the future.

As a first stage of this on-going communication, a supporter survey will soon be shared with our database to allow you to share your feedback on a wide range of topics across the Club. We ask that all fans take the time to respond and that your answers are as detailed as possible. This will help shape the direction of the Club for the new season.

We can also confirm that the Supporters’ Trust have been advised of this decision and of the upcoming supporter survey. While they would have preferred the forum to go ahead, they understand it needs to be where the panel is in position to answer our supporters’ questions. The Club and the Trust will be working together to confirm a new date for the forum as soon as possible.

All those who applied to join the fans’ forum will be contacted in due course. Further information will be made available as soon as we’re able to share it with you.

We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused, and we thank all supporters for their continued support and patience.
