'Experience will help us'
Carlos Carvalhal reckons past experience will boost Swansea City in their final push for Premier League survival.
The Swans are four points clear of the relegation places with four games remaining this season.
The first of those fixtures comes when they take on Chelsea at the Liberty on Saturday evening (5.30pm).
And Carvalhal believes his side will benefit from the fact that many of his players have been here before.
The Swans secured their place in the top flight following victory at Sunderland in the final week of last season, while they also had to scrap to stay up in the final stages of the 2015-16 campaign.
“The players have experienced this before and when you live through something you must try to learn from it,” Carvalhal said.
“Our players have lived with this pressure to win games in the most important part of the season.
“This is not a bad thing, it’s good. The players know the pressure and also they have had success at this stage before. They are ready.”
While the Swans have previous when it comes to relegation fights, some of the teams around them are in danger for the first time in a while.
“There are some players elsewhere who are used to being in the middle of the table and now they are now in a relegation battle,” Carvalhal added.
“It’s not easy to deal with that when you have not experienced it before.
“But for us it’s positive pressure. We are not in a good position in the table, but we are in a good position in the relegation battle.”
