Evan Watts makes Galway United loan move
Swansea City goalkeeper Evan Watts has joined Galway United on loan for the 2025 League of Ireland Premier Division campaign, subject to international clearance.
The move sees Watts link up with the Tribesman ahead of the start of their new season in February, and he will be with the West Ireland club throughout the upcoming calendar year.
The 20-year-old recently put pen to paper on a deal with the Swans, which runs through to the summer of 2026 and includes an option to extend by a further 12 months.
Watts has been in fine form the club’s under-21s this term, and has regularly had the opportunity to train with the first-team squad over the opening months of the season.
Watts has been with Swansea since under-12 level, and shown tremendous character and resilience to continue his development after three years on the sidelines between 2019 and 2022.
He signed a first pro deal with the club in July 2023, and is a member of the Wales Under-21s squad.
