England Under-21s call up Mawson

Swansea City defender Alfie Mawson has been included in England Under-21s’ squad for the forthcoming European Championships in Poland.
Mawson is among Aidy Boothroyd’s 23-man squad for the tournament, which sees England’s youngsters face Sweden (June 16), Slovakia (June 19) and hosts Poland (June 22).
The centre-back enjoyed a successful first year with the Swans following his summer switch from Barnsley, with the 23-year-old scoring four goals in 27 Premier League appearances while he was named Young Player of the Year at the club’s awards nights as the Swans retained their top-flight status.
