Emily Thomas signs semi-professional contract through to 2025

Swansea City Women’s forward Emily Thomas has put pen to paper on an 18-month semi-professional contract through to the summer of 2025.

The 19-year-old signs her first semi-pro deal, having joined the Swans in October 2022 from Aberystwyth Town Women.

Thomas made her debut for the Swans in a 2-1 over Cardiff Met Women in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup, going on to make 12 appearances across the 2022-23 season.

Having played at right-back when making her bow for the Swans, Thomas has proven to be a versatile addition to the squad; she has since played on the wing, as a striker and in midfield.

She opened her goalscoring account for the club in emphatic fashion earlier this season, netting five times in a 13-0 win over Llandudno Ladies.

Thomas has also provided six assists in all competitions this term.
