Jason Scotland scored deep into added time as the Swans came from 2-0 down to earn a point against Barnsley at the Liberty Stadium on this day in 2008.

Tykes striker Jonathan Macken had put the visitors ahead shortly after half-time before Ashley Williams was deemed to have handled the ball in the area, with Jamal Campbell-Ryce tucking away the resulting penalty on 56 minutes.

But the Swans grabbed a lifeline 10 minutes later when Joe Allen found Scotland and he rifled home from 25 yards.

The home side pushed for an equaliser and, despite the heroic efforts of Barnsley goalkeeper Heinz Muller, tjhey made it 2-2 in the 94th minute as Scotland pounced to score from close range.

His goal ensured Roberto Martinez’s team drew for the fourth successive game.

The run of draws would eventually stretch to a remarkable eight matches before victory at Burnley in January 2009.
