Crewe Alexandra sign Swansea City midfielder Adam King on loan
6th July
Swansea City youngster Adam King has joined League One side Crewe Alexandra on loan until January 5.
The 19-year-old impressed during the Swans' successful Development League Two campaign last season, while he made his first-team debut in the 6-2 FA Cup win over Tranmere in January.
King will spend the next six months at Gresty Road, and becomes Crewe's second signing of the day following the transfer of Billy Bingham from Dagenham & Redbridge.
The Scottish Under-21 international immediately links up with Steve Davis' squad for their pre-season preparations as Crewe look to improve on last season's campaign which saw them finish two points above the relegation zone.
King, who joined the Swans from Scottish side Hearts in January 2014, said: "It was a perfect opportunity for me and once I heard of Crewe's interest then I jumped at the chance.
"It will be a great experience for me and I can't wait to get into the training and play some pre-season games. It is a massive step from development football but one I am really looking forward to and I just want to get started.
"I have only heard good things about Crewe, the people who work here, the fans and how they give young players a chance."
