Conor Gallagher | I'm so glad I came to Swansea City
Conor Gallagher has thanked Swansea City and the Jack Army after revealing how much enjoyment he got from his loan spell at the club.
The 20-year-old joined the Swans on loan from Chelsea in January, and wasted little time making an impact in SA1.
He provided an assist for fellow loanee Rhian Brewster on his home debut against Wigan, and that set the tone for what was to come.
Gallagher ended his spell with six assists to his name, the most provided by any Swansea player in his time at the club.
He was an ever-present over the second half of the season as Steve Cooper’s side reach the play-off semi-finals.
And the attacking playmaker had nothing but praise for his former England age-grade boss Cooper and the set-up he found in South Wales.
"I've had a great second half of the season with Swansea and I've enjoyed it so much. I'm very thankful to the whole club and fans,” he said.
“I've loved working with Steve Cooper. I knew him before from England so I knew what he was about.
“I really enjoy working with him. He was a big part of the reason I came to Swansea in the first place and I'm really glad I did come.”
And Gallagher did not rule out one day returning to the club, even though any thoughts of next season were far from his mind in the wake of the defeat at Brentford.
“It's a great club that I've really enjoyed but, like I said, I don't know what's happening next season, but I've really enjoyed my time here,” he added.
