Cila Primary join Jamie Paterson, Liam Walsh and Ben Cabango to bring Christmas to Fairwood
Swansea City players Jamie Paterson, Liam Walsh and Ben Cabango got into the festive spirit as they collected a Christmas tree from Gower Fresh Christmas Trees for the Fairwood training ground.
They were later joined by Gene, Walter, Lucia and Lena from from Cila Primary School to help them decorate.
Cila Primary School are one of Swansea City AFC Foundation’s partner schools, and sports and education area coordinator Dan Garnet rewarded four of the standout pupils by offering them the opportunity to add some Yuletide spirit to the Swans training ground.
Vanessa Taylor, headteacher at Cila Primary, said: “Dan has given us the opportunity to come here, and reward some of our children for their efforts.
“They were so excited to be able to be part of it. It’s nice for the children to meet the players and take part.
“We’re just down the road from the training ground, and we’re a huge Swansea City school with lots of fans and we feel pleased to have been part of it.
“When we told the pupils they were selected, they were over the moon. And I think the parents were delighted too!”
