Swansea City Under-21s' assistant coach Chris Llewellyn urged the young Swans to find that clinical edge in the final third to help them bounce back from a second consecutive Premier League Cup defeat.

Swansea opened the scoring through Sammy Henia-Kamau from close-range, but two goals in five minutes from the young Cods had them 2-1 up at the break.

And Owen Devonport grabbed his second goal in the 50th minute to further extend the Cods' advantage before substiute Nzingo pulled one back with 20 minutes remaining, but it was only a consolation.

The Swans still remain second in Group C, with fixtures against Southampton and West Bromwich Albion remaining.

"We're pretty disappointed. I thought we started the first 20 minutes really well, and the boys implemented everything we asked of them," said Llewellyn.

"We scored one goal in those 20 minutes, and we could have had a couple more. But that's been the story of our season so far, not scoring enough goals.

"The opposition had been a bit more clinical than us which meant we wasted some easy opportunities in the box.

"At half-time, we repeated the same message as we did on Monday against Brentford. There were a lot of positives, we showed them some clips on where we can improve.

"We started the second half okay, but then we conceded straight away. We got that goal back, but then I think we lacked a bit of patience.

"We're still in a good position to get out of the group, and that's our objective. We would like to go further than last season."
