Head coach Chris Church hailed the performance of Swansea City Ladies after their emphatic win over Port Talbot Town on Wednesday night.

The Swans went into half-time a goal up after Nia Rees came off the bench to break the deadlock.

The league leaders then underlined their dominance in the second half to ensure all three points were claimed.

There were two goals apiece from Katy Hosford and Karmyn Carter, the latter netting her first Swansea goals, and a finish from Stacey John-Davis.

And Church is glad to see that players are having to fight hard to secure a spot in the starting 11 such is the competition for places.

“The players were fantastic; they did everything that we spoke about in the changing room,” he said.

“Especially in the second half, they found a couple more gears and came flying out of the blocks, so I am really pleased with that.

“The football we played I can’t fault; it has been there all season.

“There isn’t one player that we could pick out and say they didn’t have a fantastic game.

“From the players that started to the players that came on off the bench, they all put in a performance, which is what we want.

“We want players fighting for a starting spot and that does make selection harder, but that is what you want from a good team.”
