Charlie Patino | We have to be ready to go out there and perform
Charlie Patino says it is important Swansea City head to Rotherham United ready to put in a performance at the end of a tough week.
The Swans head to the AESSEAL New York Stadium following a dramatic draw against Huddersfield Town, where Patino netted a last-gasp equaliser.
Alan Sheehan is in caretaker charge following Michael Duff's departure earlier this week, but Patino insists there are no excuses for the Swans and they need to be set to deliver against the Millers.
Rotherham sit 23rd in the Championship table, but have picked up 11 of their 13 points on home turf.
"We know Rotherham have picked up a lot of their points at home, but the focus for us will be on making sure we put in a performance and give ourselves the best chance of winning the game," said the midfielder.
"They are a compact side and look to be hard to break down, so it's down to us to find the solutions. We know we will have our supporters there behind us making their voices heard and we want to put on a positive display for them.
"You take nothing for granted in the Championship, you respect your opponents, but it’s about making sure we bring the work we do on the training pitch into the game and we perform to a high level. The focus is on us."
