Carter-Vickers pleased with debut
Cameron Carter-Vickers has expressed his delight after making his Swansea City debut.
The defender, who arrived on loan from Tottenham Hotspur at the end of August, made his first appearance for the Swans in the 0-0 draw with Nottingham Forest.
Carter-Vickers replaced Yan Dhanda in the 68th minute and was happy to make his bow at the Liberty.
“I’m pleased to make my debut,” he said. “I want to play and help the team.
“I’ve been here for a couple of weeks now and really enjoying it.”
The 20-year-old admits the Swans could have performed better against Forest.
However, he feels Graham Potter’s side can take positives from the way they held on towards the end to ensure a share of the spoils.
“We weren’t at our best, but did well to get a point,” he added.
“If we could have scored early on, it might have allowed our attacking players to express themselves and maybe got two or three more goals.
“A lot of the games in the Championship are physically demanding. You’ve just got to stand up and try to impose yourself on the opposition.
“I thought we had to dig in a little towards the end to make sure we didn’t lose the game.”
