Book your wedding with Swansea City's dedicated events team

From small intimate ceremonies to large family celebrations, the Swansea.com Stadium is a special venue for your special day and our dedicated events team are on hand to cater for your every need.

Playing host to fantastic weddings over the years, our fantastic team have also stayed in touch with our happy couples throughout the pandemic, relocating and amending bookings to comply with Welsh Government guidelines.

One such couple was Caroline Thomas and David Smitham, who tied the knot in July 2021.

Caroline and David have been together for over 21 years and had originally booked their wedding at the Swansea.com Stadium for July 17, 2020 but due to the pandemic they had to look at alternative plans.

Scaling their wedding down to accommodate just under 50 guests, the couple were able to finally tie the knot just over a year later on July 30.

Reducing their numbers certainly had its benefits as the Smitham’s were able to get married in our Swansea Building Society Suite situated on level three of the stadium. With David being an avid Swansea City fan, the backdrop of the hallowed turf certainly added to making their day that little bit extra special.

“I was very sceptical about the wedding, especially on the lead up to our big day,” said Caroline. “Some restrictions were still in place and the uncertainty of the situation left us both very anxious.

“I can honestly say our wedding was the best day – it exceeded all my expectations and was better than I ever imagined. I wouldn’t change a single thing and we were very grateful to the events team for their support during our wedding planning.”

We are delighted to launch our new wedding brochure, which also features images from Caroline and David’s big day.

To thank Caroline and David for the use of their photos, they were treated to hospitality at our Luton fixture on February 1, as well as signed shirts featuring their anniversary date.
