Bony: We must take the positives
15th December
Wilfried Bony insists the Swans will look to the positives as they bid to bounce back from Sunday's defeat against Tottenham.
Spurs took an early lead at the Liberty Stadium thanks to Harry Kane's header, but the home side hit back after half-time as Bony grabbed his eighth goal of the season.
Both teams had chances to win it and just as though the game was heading for a draw, Christian Eriksen popped up with a minute of normal time remaining to fire a low shot past Gerhard Tremmel.
The result moved Spurs above the Swans in the table, and Bony believes the squad must take the positives ahead of next weekend's trip to Hull.
"It was disappointing," he said. "We created a lot of chances, especially in the first half, and we should have been more clinical. But we weren't and we paid the price.
"We tried to get the second one and kept pushing, but at the end we made a mistake and it cost us a goal. We didn't deserve to lose because we had a chance to win that game.
"I try to get in good positions to score - I had a few chances and didn't take them so I wasn't happy.
'But we need points and wins to move up the table. We'll learn from the positives and try to be better in the next game."
