BLAST FROM THE PAST: Everton v Swans
1st November
Everton 2 Swansea City 2 - Goodison Park - February 26, 1983
The Swans produced a spirited performance on Merseyside to earn a valuable point against in-form Everton.
The home side were favourites to take all three points at Goodison Park and they took the lead through Andy King's fine strike.
However, Swansea hit back shortly before the break when Robbie James hit an unstoppable 35-year shot that flew past the keeper.
The visitors started the second half brightly and took a deserved lead through Darren Gale with ten minutes to play.
But King scored his second of the game to earn Everton a point late on.
The result meant the Swans remained 19th in the First Division table, with 28 points from 28 games played.
