Bersant Celina | Let's show what we're made of
Bersant Celina wants Swansea City to show Brentford what their really made of when the sides meet at Griffin Park this afternoon.
The sides currently sit sixth and seventh in the Championship table, separated only be goal difference, with half the season in the books.
While the Swans have historically had a good record against Brentford, they suffered a 3-0 defeat when the Bees visited the Liberty Stadium in October.
That result came at the start of a run that has seen Thomas Frank’s side win eight of their last 12 Championship fixtures.
Kosovo international Celina, who produced an excellent performance in the weekend win at Luton, hopes the Swans can prove that defeat was a one-off.
And he pointed to Swansea’s trio of wins over Brentford last term – including a 3-2 triumph at Griffin Park – as proof they can make amends.
“We’re just on the edge of the top six going into Christmas, which is very important,” said Celina.
“That position means this next game is going to be so important.
“We want to respond against Brentford after what happened in our last game.
“We beat them three times last season, so we’re not scared of them.
“We know they’re a good team and it will be difficult, but we’re going there full of confidence.”
