Ben's big praise from Wales boss
5th February
Wales boss Chris Coleman has hailed Swans defender Ben Davies for grasping his big opportunity for club and country.
Ahead of Wales' Friendly match against Austria at the Liberty Stadium on Wednesday (Feb 6, 7.45pm), Coleman has praised the Neath product as he looks to win his third senior cap on his home ground.
Davies, who is joined in the squad by Wales skipper Ashley Williams and Jazz Richards, has flourished at the Liberty this season after Neil Taylor's campaign was ended following his injury against Sunderland in September.
The 19-year-old left-back has made 30 appearances under Michael Laudrup, and his performances at club level have paid off as he made his senior debut in the World Cup qualifier against Scotland last October.
"Ben has done well - he's only 19," said Coleman. "Sometimes you get opportunities, sometimes you don't take them and sometimes you grab them with both hands and that's what Ben has done.
"He's grown in stature and confidence. Offensively he's getting better and better and he's got a great mentality and attitude to football and he's really done brilliantly.
"Neil just has to get fit and he can worry about where he's going to play after that.
"Ben will know he's in good company when Neil gets fit, but all Neil has to focus on is getting himself ready and getting back."
All ticket purchases on the night will need to be made in person at the Liberty ticket office, via 0844 815 6665 or at the stadium's Ticket Pod. The ticket pod can only accept cash payments.
To avoid the large queues all fans are urged to buy their tickets early either in person at the ticket office or via our website HERE and collected well in advance of kick-off.
