Ben Lloyd is determined to keep making important contributions for Swansea City Under-21s after netting another goal in their 2-0 victory over Bristol City at the Swansea.com Stadium.

The development side extended their winning run at the home of the Swans – which stretches back to the start of the 2022-23 campaign – thanks to Lloyd’s first-half strike after good pressing work, and a second-half thunderbolt from Glory Nzingo.

The first half had been an even affair, with goalkeeper Evan Watts making some key saves for the hosts, but the Swans had by far the better of the second period as they claimed the spoils in the Professional Development League encounter.

For Lloyd this was a third goal in two games following his brace against Fleetwood Town in the Premier League Cup, and he is keen to keep that run of form going.

"We started off quite slow. It took us around 30 minutes to get going, but after that I thought we put in a really strong performance," said Lloyd.

"Defensively we were brilliant, we probably could have won by three or four.

"A big credit to Wrighty [Anthony Wright] and Chris [Llewellyn] in training, we've been doing a lot of finishing and especially working hard with me to get that into my game.

"It's something I haven't really had the last couple of seasons, it's something I've definitely been working on and something I want to continue doing.

"A huge credit to Evan [Watts], he pulled off some brilliant saves. Iestyn [Jones] and Rich [Faakye] put in some magnificent blocks."

And as a lifelong Swans fan, Lloyd savoured every moment of playing in the stadium in front of his family and friends.

"To play out there is brilliant, every moment I play out there I love," he added.

"Hopefully, there's a lot more to come in the future."
