Captain Ben Cabango has urged Swansea City to stick together and show the character to come out of their tough run of form.

The Wales international skippered the Swans for the first time as club captain in Saturday’s 2-0 defeat against Coventry City at the Swansea.com Stadium.

Goals from Ellis Simms and Brandon Thomas-Asante proved the difference to leave the Swans still waiting for a first win of 2025.

Cabango admits the Swans are enduring a difficult run, but insists the only way to turn things around is for the group to stick together and dig deep for each other.

“Of course it’s not how I or anyone wanted the day to go. It was a tough game, we are in the middle of a poor run of form right now, there’s no denying that,” said Cabango.

“I did not think there was loads in the game. They did have the better chances, but it’s those moments and little details in the game that we need to improve on. It’s that final cutting edge.

“In these situations everything can seem and feel very difficult, but these are the times when you have to stick together as a team and get on the other side of it.

“It is going to take everyone at the club really digging in for each other to make sure we get out of this.

“We need a result, the main thing is getting three points and a lift as soon as possible.”
