Ben Cabango | We have a platform we need to build on

Skipper Ben Cabango wants Swansea City to try and kick on from the win over Blackburn when they travel to face another Lancashire side in Preston North End on Tuesday (7.45pm).

The centre-half enjoyed his first home victory as captain, and helped the Swans to an eighth clean sheet of the season in the 3-0 win over Rovers at the Swansea.com Stadium.

They now travel to Deepdale in midweek, and Wales international Cabango knows it is important the Swans back up their last performance.

“I think the way we played in the last game has to be the platform now,” he said.

“Obviously there has been a bit of a gap since the last game, there has been time to take stock but it is important we keep building on it.

“We have had a few opportunities like this during the season, but we have not been able to build on those positive moments and performances. So we need to try and make sure we do that.”
