Ben Cabango | We have a platform to build from, we need to make the most of it
Ben Cabango says Swansea City have given themselves a platform to build from as they prepare to face Millwall on Saturday.
The Swans head to south-east London on the back of a 3-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday, a result which secured a first Championship win of the season for Michael Duff’s side.
It was also a first clean sheet of the campaign, and Wales international Cabango hopes the result and performance can provide the foundations to move forward.
“We’ve set the bar with a 3-0 win and clean sheet, but it’s important to build on it,” he said.
“We’re going into Millwall with some confidence, but we’ll take it one game at a time, continue to work hard and look to move forward.
“There’s no hiding from the fact we have had a tough start, or how disappointed we were with how we performed against Cardiff.
“But we have now got a positive result, the fans were great with the support they have given us.
“We were happy to get that win, but no-one is resting on their laurels.
“We’ve put in decent performances in parts, but now it’s about building a full performance. We’re really happy with the win and with the clean sheet as well.
“Hopefully we can push on from here.”
