Ben Cabango | We can bounce back
Ben Cabango feels Swansea City are near to ending their wait for a home win despite the frustration of Wednesday’s draw against Blackburn.
The Swans – seeking a first home win since the end of October, and a second since the start of September – fell behind to a Danny Graham goal but hit back through Andre Ayew’s seventh goal of the season.
The hosts had the better of the remainder of the contest, but could not find the finishing touch to seal all three points.
But Cabango, making his first league start for the club, believes the signs are there that the win the Swans crave is near.
“We haven’t been at our best at home but, hopefully after this result, we can bounce back, get our home form back on track and climb that table,” said the 19-year-old.
“We’re looking forward to another home game on Saturday. Hopefully, we can show the fans what we’ve got and get the three points.
“Winning would have topped off my first league start, but we’ll take the draw and move on to the next game.
“It was a tough game. I thought we dominated in the first half; we played well, had a lot of chances and should have put them away.
“It was going to be difficult in the second half after going down to 10 men.
“We pushed them to the end after they went down to 10, but we just couldn’t get the goal.
“We fell behind very early but the whole team bounced back very well. It was a great header from Andre – you can always rely on him to score some goals.”
