Ben Cabango | It's one last effort to deliver for the fans
Ben Cabango has urged Swansea City to produce one last big effort to seal promotion to the Premier League and put smiles on the faces of the Jack Army.
The Swans face Brentford at Wembley on Saturday with a place in the top-flight at stake after the sides overcame Barnsley and Bournemouth respectively.
The showpiece occasion at the home of English football will bring the curtain down on a gruelling campaign that has been congested following the enforced late finish of the 2019-20 campaign.
It will be the 53rd game this term for Steve Cooper’s side, and undoubtedly the biggest with so much at stake.
And Cabango – fresh from playing in front of Swans fans for the first time in 14 months – says the Swans are desperate to ensure supporters have reason to celebrate on Saturday evening.
“It’s been a long, tough season and this is now the pinnacle of it,” said the Wales defender.
“We have worked so hard and we just want to make sure we get over the line and do it for the fans, because that is who we are playing for.
“We want to do it for them and we have to refocus quickly and get ready for Saturday.
“Everyone has pulled together, we have worked hard for each other. We know if we have that foundation, and we are switched on, we will give ourselves the best chance.”
